Based in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley in western Montana, Hammer & Tine creates forged knives and leather goods that are functional works of art intended to be used and admired.
Dan forges blades out of O1 high carbon steel for all Hammer & Tine knives. From field and hunting knives, to culinary and cheese knives, we carefully select high quality materials to optimize performance and durability.
Hammer & Tine offers handcrafted leather goods such as purses, totes, duffel bags, Dopp kits, cosmetics bags, wallets, keychains, and coasters, to name a few. We use Italian and USA tanned leather for all of our leather goods, and we sew with a Cobra Class 3 leather sewing machine using bonded nylon thread.
All Hammer & Tine products are handcrafted with care and attention to detail by the two of us. We don’t outsource any of the work, and we take pride in the quality of our products. While we don’t offer custom leather work or repairs, we welcome made-to-order products within our existing product line.
